Wabi Gomez de retour à la tête des Ecureuils du Benin : Après la démission de l’Allemand Reinhard Fabisch de son poste de sélectionneur de l’équipe nationale de football du Bénin, c’est le Béninois Wabi Gomez qui prend sa succession. Jusque-là assistant du technicien allemand, son rappel a été officialisé jeudi dernier, à trois semaines seulement du premier match des Ecureuils comptant pour les éliminatoires Can-Mondial 2010.

 Vahid Halilhodzic will be the new coach of the Ivory Coast National Team ! The former trainer of Raja Casablanca, Lille and Paris St Germain will arrive in Abidjan early this week to sign a two-years contract with the Ivory Coast Football Association.

 The title for the ABSA PSL Championship in South Africa is looking very exciting ! Supersport United and Ajax Cape Town seems to be the two teams fighting for the title this season ! Suspersport United with 51 points (+13) and Ajax CT with 50 points (+17) are leading the ranking as Santos with only 45 points has very few hopes.

 The Ghana Football Association decided to terminate Claude Leroy's contract. A media statement was released by the Ghana Football Association yesterday. Le Roy will complete his job with Ghana on May 30th, a month before the stipulated date, June 30th. The Frenchman departure coincide with the first encounter the Black Stars will have against Libya !
